Armadillo Jewelry is unique jewelry made with nature in mind. I make necklaces, earrings, bracelets, anklets, pendants, rings, brooches and pins. I also like to make jewelry that is funky and chunky with surprise designs that are a little bit different.
Aristotle is quoted as saying "Art completes what nature cannot bring to finish." Maybe art attempts to capture a spirit in a mason jar. I try to share my vision of nature and allow it to evolve into a drawing, a photograph or a piece of jewelry. As I approach each piece I don't think about the larger picture, but about the small, usually unseen parts of nature, like a single leaf in a tree or a rock in a stream bed. I strive to work with natural materials and create works that are representative of the inspiration found in nature.
